Dr. Camilla Parson, a native of Nebraska, grew up in Weeping Water. She earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln; a master’s degree in Cell Biology and Medical Parasitology from University of California, Davis; and her medical degree and ophthalmology training from the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
Dr. Parson is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Metropolitan Omaha Medical Society and the Nebraska Medical Association; and is past president of the Nebraska Academy of Eye Physicians and Surgeons. She has been on the area Board of Directors for Young Life (a non-denominational Christian ministry for middle and high school students), InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, Prevent Blindness and Radio Talking Book. She is on staff at Methodist Hospital and was section chief in Ophthalmology there for over 10 years.
Dr. Parson enjoys traveling, photography and spending time with her husband Mike and son Matthew. She would like to combine her love of ophthalmology and traveling in the mission field.
